Sights and sounds: A tour of Ralph Lauren’s massive e-commerce hub in High Point

Ever wonder where the Ralph Lauren shirt or skirt you ordered online was shipped from? The answer is High Point, where hundreds of workers operate a massive e-commerce distribution facility that sends individual orders to customers throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Ralph Lauren opened up its more than 1.1 million-square-foot e-commerce building at 201 N. Pendleton St. on Wednesday to members of NAIOP Piedmont Triad for lunch and an exclusive tour. It’s an operation that generates $500 million in sales currently, a figure projected to double within four years or less, said Ponch Pedroso, senior director of fulfillment and distribution operations for Ralph Lauren.
