CLLR is an annual national conference hosted by NAIOP to bring together chapter leaders from across the country. This year’s conference was held February 8-10, 2016 in Washington, DC. Our leadership got to learn more about other NAIOP chapters across the country, interesting program topics, and meet with key members on capitol hill to discuss our white papers.
During the conference, the Piedmont Triad chapter won an award for outstanding sponsorship efforts.. The award would not be possible without the work and dedication of the board, the committee volunteers who make it happen, and the generous contributions from our industry partners who support our industry.

NAIOP Triad had the pleasure of hosting NAIOP Chairman Elect, Ashley Powell, Senior Vice President, Head of Transactions, Bentall Kennedy. Ashley flew in from San Fransico, California during the blizzard of 2016 to talk to NAIOP Triad about “Catching the Next Wave – A Perspective on Preparation”. Ashley gave us some great information on why the great recession is behind us, emerging market trends in the US vs Europe, and job growth in NC vs the rest of the country. Innovation, immigration, and education are the three biggest trends that influence NC. In addition to economic updates, Ashley gave us some great information on utilizing NAIOP corporate to make the most our of your membership, mainly focusing on the importance of joining a forum. Thank you to Highwoods Properties for sponsoring the lunch and to all the NAIOP members and guests that joined us at Starmount Country Club.
